The Palestinian Heritage Trail, the Lebanon Mountain Trail Association, and the Jordan Trail Association are the founding trail members, along with Tétraktys and AFRAT, of a network that we hope will grow to encompass all the Mediterranean hiking trails. The 1,825 kilometers of the existing network of trails encompass some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Mediterranean basin. In 2025, the network welcomed 10 new members reaching a number of 15, across 9 countries.

AFRAT has been active for almost 60 years in the fields of training, regional development and tourism, working with local authorities, institutions and entrepreneurs, mainly in France but also internationally. A pioneering organization in the Vercors region (Eastern side of the French Alps) for the development of rural tourism, the projects supported by AFRAT mainly affect rural and mountain areas and their inhabitants. Beside development projects, AFRAT manage a training center and a guesthouse for groups, headquarters are based in an village in the Alps. Missions : (1) Encourage people to live and work in rural and mountain areas ; (2) Place individuals at the heart of the system, taking account of the area’s constraints and assets.
Fondée en juillet 2015 en tant qu'organisation non gouvernementale (ONG) jordanienne, la JTA a pour mission de développer et d'entretenir le Jordan Trail, en le promouvant auprès des touristes locaux et internationaux. La JTA vise également à soutenir les communautés riveraines du sentier, afin de maximiser les retombées socio-économiques du tourisme croissant. Il s'agit notamment de soutenir le développement de services locaux et d'entreprises familiales répondant aux besoins des randonneurs. L'un des objectifs essentiels de la JTA est de soutenir un modèle de tourisme durable qui préserve l'environnement naturel et les habitats le long du sentier.
La LMTA est une organisation à but non lucratif dédiée à la préservation du premier grand itinéraire national de randonnée du Liban, le Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT), ainsi que de ses itinéraires secondaires et de son réseau. Long de 600 km, le LMT traverse plus de 76 villes et villages, atteignant jusqu'à 2 073 mètres d’altitude.
La LMTA vise à promouvoir le sentier comme destination de tourisme rural et de bien-être, tout en préservant les ressources naturelles et le patrimoine culturel. L'organisation soutient également le développement économique via un tourisme responsable, encouragé par des initiatives d'éducation ciblée, de mobilisation communautaire et de sensibilisation.

Tétraktys est une ONG française basée à Grenoble, la capitale des Alpes françaises. Fondée en 1994, elle se consacre au partage de l'expertise alpine à l’échelle internationale dans les domaines de la préservation et de la promotion du patrimoine, du tourisme durable et de la gouvernance partagée. Ses actions visent toujours à améliorer les conditions de vie des communautés rurales et de montagne à travers le monde.
Avec 30 ans d'expérience, Tétraktys a développé un large éventail de compétences et un réseau étendu de partenaires dans les Alpes et ses pays d'intervention. Cela lui permet d'offrir son expertise aux autorités locales et aux acteurs de la société civile. Darbessama Association is a spiritual and social organization committed to solidarity and sustainable development. The association initiated and led the development of Darb Mar Charbel (DMC), Lebanon’s first long-distance pilgrimage trail inspired by the spirituality of Saint Charbel. Beyond its spiritual dimension, the trail highlights the rich natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and local traditions of the villages it crosses. DMC promotes inclusion, reflection, and responsible pilgrimage tourism, while fostering rural tourism and supporting local economies through community-based initiatives.
The Federation for Authentic Tourism – Dahar Destination (FTADD) is a destination management organization dedicated to advancing Destination Dahar© and the Dahar Hiking Trail. It works to promote the region to the public and tourism professionals while coordinating local tourism service providers and fostering strong public–private partnerships. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and tourism authorities, FTADD represents the region’s interests, addresses development challenges, and supports its members in improving and diversifying sustainable tourism experiences.
